MEET YOUR TEACHER

Erin Gladden

Hi, I’m Erin, a homeschooling mom of four with a passion for teaching children to read and write. I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education from Clemson University and have years of experience teaching in public schools, private schools, homeschool co-ops and learning centers, as well as teaching my children at home.

My specialized training in literacy began through the SC READS grant (2002-2004), where I worked closely with a reading coach, studied research-based strategies, and earned graduate credit hours in teaching reading and writing in the early grades. Through this, I developed a deep understanding of how young children learn best—through engaging, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate methods.

Beyond the classroom, I’ve had the joy of teaching my own daughters to read and cultivating a home filled with books, read-alouds, and storytelling. I believe that every parent—regardless of background—can confidently teach their child to read and write with the right tools and encouragement.

In this course, I’ll share practical, proven strategies to help you guide your child’s literacy journey with confidence. Let’s build a strong foundation together!
